ASG refurbished the main Studio A with new scenery and lighting hoists, pantographs, tracks and drop-out track sections. Some of the equipment that contributed to a major eighteen month refurbishment of main Studio A, including scenery hoists in the stacks mounted on the grid which will also facilitate additional hoists as required. Also one hundred individual lighting hoists suspended from the grid, providing suspensions for pantographs and luminaires. All equipment fitted with overload and slack rope detectors to comply with the BBC stringent requirements.
