Typical methods of lighting suspension
|
Monopole Pantograph
This suspension system comprises
of long Monopoles suspended from a fixed grid system across the studio.
It offers a high degree of flexibility. Recent systems use motorised
Monopoles for enhanced operation. |
Fixed Barrel System
Comprises of barrels mounted across the
full width of the studio below the ceiling. Luminaires are clamped to
the barrels but there is little or no movement in height or lateral
variation. |
|
Track & Barrel System
Comprises of pairs of tracks mounted
directly under the studio ceiling. The barrels are fitted with roller
trolleys to allow movement. |
Lightrig System
More flexible than a fixed barrel system
as the traversing tracks can be adjusted diagonally across the primary
track. Ideal for small studios where the height is comparatively restricted. |
